This is an extremely rare and remarkable Classic Coin. It was among the first machine struck coins of Morocco. It was minted in Madrid and contains the name of the mint in Arabic, which was a point of tension during that time because of strained relations between the countries. The vast majority of these coins were melted after the ruler Muhammed III passed away, with virtually none surviving today. This coin is among perhaps 10-20 that still exist.
This coin has sharp AU55 details and a nice overall look. There are some faint surface marks and a light smoothing repair below the "1201." Quite a remarkable rarity.
