Note: If daytime temperatures are above 87 degrees or below 50 degrees do not order. I will be checking weather conditions in your area and will cancel the order if these conditions are not met. You will most likely receive a mixture of adults, sub-adults and juveniles, many of which have been tank raised. There will be a mix of females and males. These Least Killifish (Heterandria Formosa) are a Florida native and are a combination of wild caught and tank raised from here in Southwest Florida. They are an excellent small fish for very small aquariums. You can easily keep 6-10 in as small as a 2 gallon aquarium. These are also excellent for small container ponds outside and are voracious mosquito larvae eaters, but are a more attractive and smaller fish than gambusia (mosquito fish), which are plain colored. Females get a maximum of 1.5" and males less than an inch. They are interesting to watch and are calm and relaxing swimmers. The males will sometimes chase each other a little, but nothing like most live bearer males do. Mature females will have 1 baby every couple days. They will eat almost anything. I feed crushed flake for both adults and babies. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail in a breather bag. Do not float bag. Gently pour contents of the bag into small container and slowly add aquarium or pond water for an hour or so. Then add to your aquarium or pond.
These fish have shipped very well for me, however, If there is a problem with your order upon receipt, immediately take a clear picture before you open the bag and send it to me describing the issue. Failure to do so within 3 hours of receiving your order and a refund will not be considered.
