    Description

Look, if you are into technology, innovation, and the 20th century Space Race, this is a pretty amazing piece to own. This is a complete and original multi-section issue of The Miami News following the complete launch and return of America's first astronaut in space. Wow! Published Friday, May 5, 1961 with a three color (black, red, and blue) press on the cover; vey patriotic-looking and unique, "A Star Spangled Day!" indeed. I believe this to be a complete newspaper with three complete sections (A, B, and C). Lots of great ads and visuals from the time (see photos). I'm a space geek, but it's worth the price just for the auto and movie/entertainment ads alone. There are some brownish spots of foxing from exposure on the front page. These are not unusual for the age and paper quality of the time.
Overall, this is in great condition and perfectly framable. Could be a great gift option for the man cave or office.
Newspaper listings are often from my personal collection.
I have been a collector for over 25 years. Unfortunately, I just cannot keep them all.
Each is a unique pre-loved vintage, historic, and/or collectible piece. I would generally consider them to be good to very good condition. Obvious imperfections or damage are noted in the description and photographed. Send a message if you have questions.
