    Description

    Young Lemon Blue-eyed Longfin or Shortfin Bushynose/Bristlenose (Ancistrus) Pleco's will be shipped to you.  Bred and grown in our own tanks here at Purple Aquatics.  Pictures of Mom's and Dad are in included.  These are the Longfin and Shortfin offspring of Longfin parents.
    Adults will reach a maximum size of 3 - 5 + inches.  Males will develop bristles on his face and they get a very golden, almost orange as they mature and are fed a good diet.  Females may develop short bristles around their mouth and stay a lighter color than the males.  Minimum tank size is 20 gallons for these Pleco's but larger is always better.  Sand or Gravel substrate is fine.  They like to hide on/in caves, rocks, and driftwood so keep some of these items in their tank.  Driftwood helps keep their digestive system stay healthy along with high quality foods.  Keep their tank clean with weekly substrate vacuuming and partial water changes. Temperature 73 to 81 F (23 to 27 C).  Plants like Anubis and Cryptocoryne provide additional hiding spots for these fish and help your tank consume Nitrates.
    These have been fed a diet of of  Shrimp Pellets, Blackworm pellets, Krill pellets, Algae Wafers, Repashi (Soylent Green/Bottom Scratcher). They have been fed fresh vegetables such as Zucchini, Cucumber, (both skinned and washed), and canned French Style Green Beans which they love.

    For the unfortunate event if there are any DOA Pleco's please contact me Within 2 hours of arrival time of the tracking numbers delivered date/time stamp. Pictures ARE required of the fish in the unopened bag within 2 hours of receipt of the package. At my discretion I either reship or credit for the DOA fishes. Live arrival is guaranteed: In the unfortunate and rare event of any DOA fish pictures of the fish in the bag unopened within 2 hours of the delivery time (noted in the tracking number) of the package ARE required for refunds (minus my shipping cost) or replacement (will require a re-ship fee).  Please be home to receive your fish and acclimate ASAP to their new home.  Shipping exceptions will void guarantee.  Customer is responsible to watch the tracking number and be available to accept the fish.  Make sure your shipping address is correct when ordering.
    Shipping:
    The Box will be well insulated and if needed hot or cold packs will be added. I ship on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, sometimes on Wednesdays to avoid delivery delays over weekends.
