Vintage J Schultz for J.E. Caldwell 14K Yellow Gold & Reverse Intaglio Painting under Essex Crystals of a Horse Equestrian Watch Bracelet, c.1930s
Beautifully hand fabricated bracelet centering a small watch flanked on either side by superb Horse painting in reverse crystals
The images are crisp and life-like both depicting a chocolate brown horse heads with a bit and bridle
The crystals are set in 14K gold bezels and backed by mother of pearl giving them depth and providing three-dimensional effect
The bracelet completed on either side with links designed as a horse shoe with a horse bit, belts and stirrups; the links are wonderfully engraved and detailed
The bracelet completed with a folding clasp
The watch has a white mother of pearl dial with silver colored center, black quarter hour Arabic numerals and black hour and minute hands. Signed J. E. Caldwell & Co
Movement: mechanical hand-winding, 17 Jewels, signed J Schultz
The clasp and both crystals are stamped "JSch" for J Schultz and "14K"
Beautifully designed and very well crafted early twentieth century treasure
Condition:
Excellent Vintage Condition. Watch is running and seems to be keeping time. Watch dial has minor signs of age. Crystals in excellent shape.
