This is a partially assembled Meteor body and chassis with a front axle guide, an aluminum hood, a rear axle guide with a gear box, and a characteristic louvered front plate. Please note that the front plate, grill shell and the rear axle guide and gear box are all numbered with the number "8" (matching numbers).
This BB Korn tether car was built by Jake La Motta using his own patterns and tooling. The body and cowl are made of a copper sheet which was beat over a custom wooden buck. Dad used to tell me it took him one thousand hits to build the body. The sand cast aluminum chassis was made from dad's personal patterns and molds and it measures approximately 15 3/4" long and 3 3/4" wide.
