This keychain is modeled after the majestic Pileated Woodpecker, which along with its cousins, the Ivory Billed Woodpecker (Last officially seen in 1937), and the Imperial Woodpecker of Mexico, is one of the most recognizable birds in North America! This woodpecker is cleverly shown clinging to a piece of dead tree, into which it has has drilled the hole where its keyring attaches.
Accurately reproduced from nature (The famous drawings of Roger Tory Peterson were used as the model) and is painstakingly hand carved and cast in genuine pewter. Sure to make a great gift for the ornithologist in your life!
