    Description

    Original vintage photograph.
    It measures approximately
    3 x 4 1/2
Inches. This photograph is of a Red Army technician major Timofei Vasilyevich Chuprin. He was born on March 4th 1913 in Noginsk. He started service in the Red Army October 10, 1940. During WWII he served in the 2nd
    Belorussian
Front. He was awarded the "For Defense of Moscow" medal, order of the "Great Patriotic War 2nd Class" and the order of the "Red Star". He received the order of the
"Great Patriotic War 2nd Class" for supplying his artillery batteries with ammunition during offensive battles in fall of 1943 and the summer of 1944, in his recommendation he was described as "dodgy, energetic, and fearless", he was very demanding to the troops in accounting for used artillery shells, because of which, the recycling of used artillery shells is very organized and successful. He received the order of the "Red Star" for pretty much the same reason as the last order, it was given for the organization of ammunition supply during the Oder river crossing in Germany in 1945.
