    Description

    Original vintage photograph.
    It measures approximately
    3 1/4 x 4 1/2
    Inches.
This photograph is of a politruk political commissar Nikolai Fedorovich Sharutenko, during WWII he was a politruk in the 6th Rifle Regiment
    . He
went missing in action in 1941. He had a wife Zinaida Prokofievna Sharutenko who lived in Kharkov. (see screenshots)
Interesting fact: During WWII German soldiers were ordered not to take any political commissars as prisoners by the German high command, and execute them on the spot because they were considered enforcers of "Judeo-Bolshevism" ideology in the military forces.
I am a collector from USA, currently living in Russia.
